The owners of a contemporary townhouse residence wanted to expand their living space for family and friends through the complete gut renovation of an existing outdoor patio area off the living room.  Taking advantage of the end unit location and designed to the maximum allowable footprint, a new sustainable stone and ipe wood deck was created.   Evergreen shrubs, tall planters densely planted with native grasses and naturalistic installation of stone boulders further enhance privacy while maintaining an open expansive feeling and connection to surrounding common area greenery and a golf course beyond. A new custom acoustical wood wall mitigates the noise and view of an adjacent unit's air conditioning equipment.  Project scope included consultation outdoor furniture selection and lighting.
